Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how Placeholder: [Legal entity name] (“Kartha”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit mykartha.com (the “Website”), request a demo or contact us. We’ve tried to write it in plain language.
1. Who we are
Kartha is operated by Placeholder: [Legal entity name], a Placeholder: [type of entity, e.g. private limited company] registered in India (Placeholder: [CIN or registration number, if applicable]), with its registered office at Placeholder: [Registered office address]. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we are the data fiduciary for personal data collected through the Website.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data collected through the Website, including the demo request form, and through emails you send us. It does not cover conversations that the Kartha product may handle on behalf of business customers in future. Those will be governed by a separate agreement with each business, which will explain how customer conversation data is processed Placeholder: [link to product data processing terms when available].
3. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
When you request a demo, we ask for:
- your name and business name;
- your email address;
- your phone number (optional, needed only if you’d like a call or WhatsApp message);
- your type of business, preferred contact method and main business challenge; and
- anything else you choose to tell us in the optional message field.
If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and any attachments. Please don’t send us sensitive personal data, such as health, financial or identity information, through the form or by email.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. This happens in server logs and is used to deliver the Website, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
The Website does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your consent.
4. How we use your personal data
We use the personal data described above only to:
- respond to your demo request or enquiry;
- arrange and run a demo, and follow up about it;
- tell you about Kartha in connection with your request (we won’t add you to a marketing list without asking);
- understand which kinds of businesses are interested in Kartha, to help us improve the product;
- keep the Website secure and filter out spam and abuse; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Consent and lawful use
We process the personal data you give us on the basis of your consent, which you provide when you submit the demo request form or email us, after being shown this policy. We may also process personal data where the law otherwise permits it, for example to comply with a legal obligation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing karthiksuresh@mykartha.com. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Website and communicate with you:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts the Website and receives and stores demo request form submissions;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which provides our domain name system (DNS) and routes email sent to our domain; and
- Placeholder: [Email mailbox provider], where emails to us are delivered and stored.
These providers process personal data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose personal data if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you.
7. Processing outside India
Some of our service providers may store or process personal data outside India. Where this happens, we will comply with applicable Indian law, including any restrictions the Government of India notifies under the DPDP Act.
8. How long we keep it
We keep demo request information for as long as we need it to respond to you and follow up, and then for up to Placeholder: [retention period, e.g. 24 months], unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. How we protect it
The Website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We limit who can access form submissions and use reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires us to.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
- ask us to erase your personal data;
- withdraw your consent;
- have your grievances addressed; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, email karthiksuresh@mykartha.com. We will respond within Placeholder: [response time, e.g. 30 days] or any shorter period required by law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Grievance officer
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please contact our grievance officer:
- Name: Placeholder: [Grievance officer name]
- Email: Placeholder: [Grievance officer email]
- Address: Placeholder: [Registered office address]
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
12. Children
The Website is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when Kartha launches new features. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
